The first Greenridge Community Picnic was held on Sunday, March 5, 2000.  About 70 residents (representing about 29 out of 31 homes) attended and enjoyed brisket, hamburgers, hotdogs, and all the trimmings.    Residents got to meet many their neighbors for the first time.

City Council, on February 22, voted unanimously against the proposed
Convenient Store / Filling Station at the entrance to Greenridge.

We had at least 10 of our 26 Greenridge home owners attend and speak to this issue.

Two items that stood out among the many points presented were:

1.  96 percent of the home owners signed the petition against the proposal.

2.  We learned of a recently passed ordinance, that a "Day Care" is now
included in the "Distance from Liquor-selling business" law.
